Steel building kits
Every North Point Steel building ships as a complete pre-engineered kit — frames, secondary framing, panels, trim, fasteners, and sealed drawings, fabricated to your exact dimensions and marked for assembly. Steel building kit, metal building kit, or building package: same product, engineered for your site.
What is in the kit
Primary frames
Rigid columns and rafters welded and drilled to your span, height, and engineered loads.
Secondary framing
Purlins, girts, eave struts, flange bracing, and cable or rod bracing.
Roof and wall panels
Panels cut to length in your chosen gauge, profile, and finish, with matching trim and closures.
Fasteners and sealant
Structural bolts, self-drilling screws, tape mastic, and sealant, all counted for your building.
Framed openings
Reinforced jambs and headers at every door and window you specify at order time.
Sealed drawings
Stamped engineering, erection drawings, and anchor bolt plans for permitting and foundation design.
Kits do not include the concrete slab and footings, site work, erection labor, MEP, or permits. Those are local scopes and should be budgeted alongside the package.
How a kit order works
1. Define the building
Width, length, eave height, roof pitch, and the doors and windows you need. Our size recommender helps if you are unsure.
2. Confirm loads
We pull design wind speed, ground snow load, and seismic category for your site from the adopted code. This is where quotes diverge, so it is settled early.
3. Firm quote and order
You receive an itemized package price. Ordering locks the steel price and starts engineering.
4. Approval drawings
You review and approve drawings before fabrication. Changes are cheap here and expensive later.
5. Fabrication and delivery
Members are cut, punched, and marked, then shipped by flatbed. Offloading is arranged with your crew.
6. Erection
Frames go up on the cured slab, secondary framing ties them together, then panels, trim, and doors.
